  • I AM SO GLAD MY MOTHER RAISED ME WITH COLORLESS EYES.  UNFORTUNATELY, EVERYONE DO NOT HAVE COLORLESS EYES.  HOW CAN SOME PEOPLE BE SO RUDE TOO CHILDREN AS YOUNG AS 5 YEARS OLD WHOM ONLY ISSUE ARE THEIR SKIN COLOR AND ETHNICITY.  HOW SAD IN THE YEAR 2015 THOSE ARE STILL FACTORS.  I CAN ONLY PRAY FOR THOSE PEOPLE THAT GOD WILL TOUCH THEIR COLD AND HATEFUL HEARTS AND FILL WITH LOVE AND COMPASSION.  MAKE THEIR EYES SEE CLEARLY WITHOUT COLOR BUT A RAINBOW OF BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE.
  • WHAT SADDENS ME THE MOST IS REVERSE RACISM — PEOPLE IN YOUR OWN CULTURE AND/OR RACE WILL NOT SUPPORT THEIR OWN.
  • TO ALL THOSE PEOPLE WHO REFUSE TO LET GO RACISM:  GOD SEES US ALL THE SAME:  I MAY NOT HAVE A MILLION DOLLAR COMPANY WITH FANCY VEHICLES AND UPSCALE FUNDRAISERS BUT I AM HONEST.  I MAY NOT LOOK LIKE YOUR AVERAGE CEO BUT I MAKE PROGRESS THAT CAN BE SEEN AND FELT.  YOU MAY NOT CAN SEE MY PROGRESS BECAUSE YOUR HEAD IS UP IN THE AIR AND YOUR NOSE IS TURNED UP BUT AT THE END OF THE DAY GOD IS STILL LOOKING DOWN UPON ME AND THAT’S ALL THAT MATTERS.
  • SMILES ARE FREE AND CAN BE GIVEN FREELY TO ANYONE REGARDLESS OF RACE, CREED, OR COLOR OR SEXUAL ORIENTATION (LET GOD JUDGE AND DECIDE HIS HEAVENLY CHILDREN).

WORDS OF WISDOM AND FROM THE HEART BY JADA ROSS-HENRY

It was around the first week in May–An European woman and her 7 year old daughter came into the studio where I was teaching.  After all the introductions ,program overview, and they observed the class for about 15 minutes–the mother seemed excited about her daughter being in the class.  The daughter facial expression was one I have seen one too many times–she did not seem to feel comfortable in a room with all African-American students.  Eventhough we tried to make her feel as welcomed as possible nothing seemed to work.  She told her mom she thinks I would be mean to her.  I tried to asure her that I am not mean.  But, somewhere along the line this child has been exposed to negativity towards African-Americans.  I do not think it came from the mother but I do not know about the father since they are separated. Or, maybe the child had a bad experience with an African-American.

All I know is I was raised with colorless eyes.  After someone taught me when I was child at summer camp to see color I still looked at people as people.  However, it was then I realized I was the only African-American in everything I did as a child–Guess What!–It did not stop me because I refuse to see human colors. I teach my students to love and embrace cultural diversity.

BEING BLESS TO SEE THE BEAUTIFUL COLORS GOD HAVE MADE IS INDEED A BLESSING!  BUT SEEING THE COLOR OF A PERSON’S SKIN AS A SIN IS NOT BEAUTIFUL.  MY MOTHER RAISED ME WITH COLORLESS EYES — I SEE ONLY CHILDREN REGARDLESS OF RACE, CREED, OR COLOR. I HOPE THE NEW YEAR STARTS OFF WITH MORE PEOPLE MAKING NEW YEARS RESOLUTIONS TO HAVE COLORLESS EYES AND A COMPASSIONATE HEART FOR ALL CHILDREN IN NEED OF HELP…AGAIN… REGARDLESS OF RACE, CREED, OR COLOR.  EACH ONE TEACH ONE TO HAVE COLORLESS EYES. GOD BLESS.
