Hello World,

My name is Jada Ross-Henry the CEO/Founder of JRoss School Of Arts and Independent Studies, Inc.  I have a Masters Degree in Human Resources Development and Administration, A B.S degree in Psychology with a minor in Criminology.  I have over 15 years experience in program development and implementation.  This organization have been a life long dream of mine–Having an organization that will truly make a positive and life changing difference in someones’  life.  Therefore, for the last 20 years I have been doing research, working various jobs that provides services for the target populations, creating/or developing, and implementing invervention and prevention programs, coordinating events, etc.  In order to design an effective organization that looks good not just on paper but in real life.

I started volunteering at the age of 15; because I was blessed with a mother who taught me at a very young age helping people should be one of my priorities.  She is my mentor–She owned a retirement home, foster home, and feed the homeless that passed in front of our house.  Also, she gave me many opportunities especially in the arts.  Therefore, I am using my opportunties given to me to help others.   I have been sponsoring when I was financially able events, shows, and volunteering  teaching tumbling and drama classes over the years.  But, I worked hard to receive my 501 c 3 certification so I can hopefully on a continuous basis provide needed services, programs, and events that will make effective changes.

I’ve been working with the community for quite sometime now and I can tell you my experiences working with children to young adults have made me the woman I am today. Every award or scholarship given to a child I’ve worked with has brought great joy into my life and tears to my eyes. Feel free to take a quick glance at some of what the local papers have had to say about my mission and our performances!
